This two week full time hands on training program is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to competently work as a rouse-about within the shearing industry. The course is run in conjunction with the Novice Shearing School at a shearing shed.
Student requirements for the course: Students will need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear to work in the shearing shed. You will also need to bring your own food, water bottle, towel and a pen each day.
Bendigo TAFE will supply: - Tea and coffee making facilities A bus will travel each day from Bendigo to the shearing shed. It is important that people meet at the Charleston Road Campus of Bendigo TAFE at 8am on the first day. After that, the teacher in charge will be able to make arrangements with people on an individual basis.
