General Description

If you have completed an Electricians Apprenticeship and hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Systems Electrician you will need to obtain an A Grade Electrical Licence.  To do so, you will need to sit a Licensed Electrical Assessment which is a combination of three separate assessments, sat at three different times:  

  • Licensed Electrician Practical Assessment (LEP)
  • Licensed Electrician Theory Assessment (LET)
  • Safe Working Practice for Electricians Assessment (SWP)

This course, offered at BRIT, will coach you on how to prepare for these assessments which are sat at another organisation. You do not need to enrol in all three parts of this course.

Accreditation National Accreditation This Course / Qualification has TAFE National Recognition.
Prerequisites of Qualifications / Experience

You must have completed your Electricians Apprenticeship and hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Systems Electrician.

Further Study Options

The licence exams which allow you to become a Grade A Electrician, are conducted by EPIC in Melbourne. Details can be found at www.epicitb.com

Assessment You will not be assessed as part of this course.
Recognition of Prior Learning Recognition of your current qualifications and prior learning: Bendigo TAFE has processes to give you credit for relevant units from your prior study, and to assess your prior learning against units in a course.
