| General Description |
This course is designed for people who wish to gain skills that will help them to gain an apprenticeship in timber construction.
It is ideal for people who like working with timber and would enjoy creating something from a drawing to suit a client's individual needs.
You will learn about furnishing trends and gain skills to create:
- Internal fitments
- Kitchen cupboards
- Bookcasing
- Wall units
- General furnishing products

| Duration Options |
This course may be undertaken on a full time basis and completed in 8 weeks.
Alternatively part time study may be arranged to suit individual needs over a duration of up to 6 months.
The course commencement date is flexible to suit individual needs.

| Prerequisites of Qualifications / Experience |
There are no prerequisites for this course, apart from basic literacy and numeracy skills and a genuine interest in working with timber. |

If successful in gaining an apprenticeship, the completion of this program should enable you to reduce your apprenticeship by up to 6 months.
This course has proven to provide strong and direct links to the building and construction industry.
