General Description

The Certificate IV in Horticulture is an industry-based training program aimed at equipping modern managers with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully operate a horticulture enterprise. Participants may be working within any of the following industry sectors:

  • Nursery (wholesale or retail)
  • Parks and gardens
  • Turf management
  • Landscape

 

Accreditation National Accreditation This Course / Qualification has TAFE National Recognition.
Duration Options

The duration of the training program depends on the individual negotiated training plan, however we encourage participants to complete the training program within 2 years. To accomplish this, participants may be required to undertake a composite training program, including:

  • On-the-job training
  • Self paced training
  • Part time class attendance (day/evening)

Prerequisites of Qualifications / Experience

Applicants for the Certificate IV in Horticulture must be able to demonstrate that they:

  • Have successfully completed the Certificate III in Horticulture (or its equivalent)
  • Are currently employed in the horticulture industry
