Course Code Q330MA02
Area Of Study Business & Management
General Description

Graduate Certificate in Management (Professional Practice) is designed to stimulate and develop your skills as a manager to optimise your performance.

This qualification is a practical oriented course developed by the Australiam Graduate Management Consortium (Charles Sturt University and TAFE). You will receive a university post-graduate management qualification with all the practical relevance which TAFE is renowned for. Most universities are locked into traditional processes of learning and administrations that have not changed over hundreds of years, they weren't designed to meet the special needs of busy, practical managers! Since the consortium began in 1994, they have asked course participants for feedback and suggestions each time they complete a Module.  This information has helped us to give people what they really want!

We'll admit you into the course even if you don't have a degree (you must have some supervisory/management experience and, usually, TAFE qualification). We don't compromise on standards though - everyone must make the grade to pass.

The content is based on relevant topics that really help you to improve the way you manage.  You'll learn to look critically at what is happening in you workplace - and get ideas for improvements from day one!

No lectures or textbooks or time consuming library research, no isolated distance learning.  You'll participate in active discussion, group problem solving and sharing of experience.  You'll be stimulated by up to the minute, readable learning materials with a practical orientation.  And you can choose to learn about those aspects of a Module that are of most relevance to you.

Assessments are different too. We call most of our assignments 'Action plans' - you apply what you have learned to what happens in your workplace and write down about what you would change and why.

From day one our friendly, knowledgeable presenters and site co-ordinators will be there with encouragement and advice whenever you need them - we've carefully chosen people who really enjoy helping you succeed.
