General Description This course is designed to meet the educational requirements of students currently employed as an apprentice electrician. It combines on-the-job training with off-the-job education, ensuring that the knowledge and practical skills you acquire are relevant to your apprenticeship.
Accreditation National Accreditation This Course / Qualification has TAFE National Recognition.
Duration Options The schooling component of this course is broken up into four years part time. For the first three years you are required to attend off-the-job training for a total of eight weeks each year, and in the fourth year you are required to attend approximately one week. The on-the-job component is assessed over the four years by the work performance section of the competencies with profiling.

Employment Opportunities This course teaches you the fundamentals of electricity as well as the legal requirements and knowledge relating to safe working practices in the electrical industry. You will also learn about tools and regulations essential to the trade, and how to safely carry out your responsibilities to maintain and install electrical equipment and wiring.
